The Dr. Christiane Hackerodt Arts and Culture Foundation was founded in 2013 as a civil-law foundation, based in the city of Hannover, Germany. It focuses on the promotion of and research into contemporary art from an international perspective, especially in relation to art from East (Asia) and West (Europe and the United States).

The Dr. Christiane Hackerodt Arts and Culture Foundation supports and promotes visual artists, both emerging and established, who approach reality in new and creative ways. It regularly support events and artists in the Hannover region, while additionally inspiring artistic and social discourse by giving support to catalogues and exhibitions related to its own collection of international contemporary art.

In 2021, the collection was shown in the exhibition Emptiness and Form at the Dommuseum Hildesheim.

Dr. Christiane Hackerodt

DR. CHRISTIANE HACKERODT studied economics at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland, where she earned her doctorate with a comparative analysis of derivative financial instruments between the USA, Japan and Switzerland. Since 1990, she has been active in the management of the Hackerodt Group of Companies. In 2013, she established the Dr. Christiane Hackerodt Art and Culture Foundation, which she represents as a board member. The foundation supports both young and established artists in the visual arts who are exploring new paths of artistic reality.
